Country of origin
Sofia K is Helsinki based poet who woke up one day under the glass ceiling. In her texts she reflects herself as a white woman in one of the wealthiest countries dragging her white guilt around while fighting the patriarchy. In the poem "Baby born" she talks about how her generation grew up thinking they were all equal before growing up and realizing that her male peers go to their cronyism clubs and sexualize her. Baby born was the toy her family was not able to afford so she was left out of the girl group - and she never even liked playing with a baby doll.
